GOAL: Provide a safe, fun day at the AGC Range to introduce you to “Action Shooting” options that are available to MSI & AGC Members. No experience is necessary, but we do of course expect that you own a legal firearm. Gear is listed below.
Don’t be intimated, just go slow and take your time if you’re just starting. We’ll guide you through the Course of Fire. It’s all about being safe and trying something new.
Course of Fire (CoF), will be run by an AGC Safety Officer (SO) and/or Event Director. These SO’s are in command of the Firing Line and the Shooters at all times. All Shooters must obey the commands of the SO. This is critical to having a safe and fun day.
There will be at least 2 Courses of Fire based on response. One will be an IDPA CoF. You can learn more about IDPA here:https://www.youtube.com/embed/SveOIlsOeO8
Typical Course of Fire CoF for an IDPA Course
Here’s a video to give you some ideas. https://www.youtube.com/embed/SveOIlsOeO8
The other CoF will be a Plate Rack or 2. This type of Steel Target setup is typical of a “Falling Steel” match held at the AGC except there would be 12 more targets for a typical CoF.
